Ukraine will receive funding for the reconstruction of social facilities.


The EIB allocated 55 million euros for the restoration of Ukraine
The European Investment Bank provided financing of 55 million euros under EU guarantees for the 'Program for the Restoration of Ukraine'. This funds will be used for the reconstruction of hospitals, social housing, educational institutions, heating systems, water supply and drainage, as well as other important social infrastructure. The funding is earmarked for 2025 and beyond.
According to the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, these funds will be directed towards the implementation of 151 subprojects in various regions of Ukraine. This contribution is part of the Emergency Solidarity Measures package from the EIB, developed in collaboration with the European Commission.
'EU support is critically important for our efforts to restore critical infrastructure across the country. This funding from the European Investment Bank will help us to restore schools, hospitals, and public services, improving the quality of life for millions of Ukrainians. Together, we are laying the foundation for a resilient Ukraine where communities can rebuild and move forward despite the challenges of war,' said Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.
This program is a framework loan from the EIB for 340 million euros, supported by EU technical assistance grants. Its goal is to assist communities in restoring social infrastructure.
In 2024, several subprojects were completed under this program, including a water purification station in Bucha, two schools in the Vinnytsia region, a children's infectious disease department in the Zhytomyr region, and others.
