Pensions will increase for 80% of Ukrainians: a new calculation formula revealed.

The mechanism of the new pension system in Ukraine has been fully disclosed. According to this system, the pension will consist of two parts: a basic and an insurance payment.
According to 'Economic Truth', in 2024, Ukrainians with an average salary could receive a pension of 6140 hryvnias. This amount includes a basic pension of 1848 hryvnias and an insurance payment of 4292 hryvnias, which is calculated by multiplying 4200 points by the cost of one point - 1.02 hryvnias.
If the salary is 30 thousand hryvnias, the amount of the solidarity pension will be 8978 hryvnias. Workers with a minimum salary can expect a pension of 3750 hryvnias.
The salary has been raised, but there is a lack of workers
An important condition: the maximum number of pension points will be accrued from an amount not exceeding 15 minimum salaries, regardless of the person's actual income.
After the implementation of the pension reform, current pensioners will be recalculated according to the new rules, taking into account the previously accumulated points and adding the basic pension. Additional payments for special status or working conditions will be financed from the state budget.
It is expected that the reform will lead to an increase in pensions for 80% of Ukrainian pensioners. If the recalculated pension turns out to be less than the current one, its amount will remain unchanged.
Furthermore, it has become known who and how can receive an disability pension.
