A flag of Ukraine has been stolen from the building of the Special Investigation Service in Lithuania.


A Ukrainian flag was stolen from a flagpole at the Special Investigative Service (SIS) building in Panevėžys, according to 'Glavkom' citing LRT. The crime became known at 7:30 AM when the absence of the flag from the building was discovered. However, by 8:00 AM that same day, the flag was found in the city of Panevėžys on Nendresu Street.
Currently, the police are investigating the circumstances of the case, and a preliminary investigation regarding a breach of public order has been initiated. At the same Time, in the city of Jihlava in southeastern Czech Republic, it was decided to leave the Ukrainian flag at the town hall as a sign of support.
A deputy expressed the opinion that society has divided, but the removal of the flag might help the camps come closer together.
The Ukrainian flag with a flagpole was stolen from the SIS building in Lithuania but was quickly found. Despite this incident, solidarity and support have been expressed from various corners of the world, which may contribute to the unification of society.
