After changes in the legislation, military registration documents of Ukrainian citizens must contain QR codes with relevant information. Those who do not have such codes in their paper documents must contact the territorial recruitment center. This was reported on the portal 'Lawyers.UA' by lawyer Yuriy Aivazyan.
Why is a QR code needed
In 2024, changes were made to Ukrainian legislation regarding military registration and mobilization. One of the important innovations was the QR code in military registration documents. Lawyer Yuriy Aivazyan explained to conscripted citizens what a QR code is and why it is mandatory.'The QR code of the military registration document in electronic form is a form of military registration document in electronic form in the form of a two-dimensional barcode containing information about the specified military registration document, which can be reproduced in a readable form with the help of appropriate technical means, etc...Why you need to visit the TCC
Aivazyan explained that the QR code is related to military registration documents and cannot be used separately from them.'A military registration document in electronic form is valid only if a QR code is present and cannot be used without it' - emphasized the lawyer. Thus, if a citizen only has a paper military registration document, he must contact the territorial recruitment center to obtain and affix the QR code. In addition, earlier we wrote about why not everyone has received a QR code in 'Reserve+' and whether a referral to the military medical commission is valid without a QR code. After legislative changes in the field of military registration and mobilization, Ukrainian citizens must have QR codes in their military registration documents for their electronic form. The presence of this code has become a mandatory requirement for the correct functioning of such documents.
