Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated a young promising Russian athlete.

Ukrainian defenders destroyed 20-year-old Russian jiu-jitsu fighter Danila Novikov. This was reported by the information resource 'Glavkom'.
Danila Novikov was a participant of the 'Sakura' martial arts club from Tver and was known as a prominent winner and prize-winner at local and all-Russian jiu-jitsu competitions.
In 2022, he became the champion of the Tver region in the weight category up to 85 kg among juniors aged 18-20 in the 'Ne-waza' category.
Representatives of the 'Sakura' club noted that Novikov was a 'good, kind-hearted, cheerful, goal-oriented, and eager athlete, always ready to help'.
The elimination of Danila Novikov took place in March this year, and the farewell to him was held on Wednesday, April 2.
It should be noted that Ukrainian military also eliminated the occupier and famous athlete Artur Odilbekov.
Artur Odilbekov was born on July 16, 1984, in the city of Khorog, Tajikistan. He entered the Moscow Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Russia after graduating from school No. 5 in Khorog.
During his studies, he became the champion of the institute in hand-to-hand combat and boxing, as well as the champion of the Moscow Military District in army hand-to-hand combat.
He was also the Asian champion in 2008 and 2011 and a prize-winner of the world unification championships in 2005 and 2007.
Odilbekov was the champion of the Winter Asian Games in Astana and Almaty in winter unification and the winner of the World Cup stage in no-holds-barred fighting in 2004.
He also achieved victories in Russian and international hand-to-hand combat and no-holds-barred fighting tournaments.
According to reports, friends and colleagues of the eliminated Russian occupier Alexander Rabotnitsky, who was a Paralympic Games prize-winner, were shocked that the Ministry of Defense of Russia hired a person with an organic brain injury.
Rabotnitsky, a 31-year-old commander of the reconnaissance platoon, provided no information to his relatives and friends about the circumstances of his death.
'I learned that Sasha went to war only after the fact. As a soldier, considering his diagnosis, this is absolutely incomprehensible. I think Sasha didn't go there in a healthy state, he had problems with his apartment and living situation,' said one of the athletes who trained with Rabotnitsky.
Close ones of the athlete say that after finishing his professional career about a year ago, he suffered from gambling addiction.
