Zelensky met with the President of Finland and reached important agreements with him.


During his visit to the USA in New York, the President of Ukraine met with the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, and discussed strengthening cooperation between the countries and joint production of drones and unmanned aerial vehicles. This was reported by the President's Office.
Also during the conversation, the head of state informed his Finnish colleague that Ukraine needs air defense systems and MANPADS to combat Russian aerial targets in Ukrainian skies.
He familiarized his interlocutor with the current stage of implementing the agreements reached during the NATO summit in Washington.
In addition to cooperation in the military sphere and exchange of joint developments, the presidents agreed on the joint production of drones and the exchange of experience in this field.
Zelensky also reported that it is very important for Ukraine to obtain permission from Western partners to strike their weapons deep into Russian territory to change the course of the war.
The leaders also discussed what specific international efforts are needed to achieve lasting and just peace for Ukraine, and the role of the Global South in this process.
Earlier, it was recalled that the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, made a decision to supply additional defense equipment to Ukraine at the government's proposal. This is already the 25th supply of military equipment from Helsinki.
By the way, according to the President of Finland, the composition of the permanent members of the UN Security Council should be expanded – this list should include a representative from Latin America and two more each from Asia and Africa, and Russia should be excluded altogether.
It became known that Finland is opening two NATO headquarters near the borders with Russia.
