Results of the 'Own Business' program for 2025
The results of the 'Own Business' program for 2025 were announced by the State Employment Service. In the eleventh wave of the program, 482 entrepreneurs will be able to receive microgrants totaling almost 133 million hryvnias. This money will be used to create or develop businesses, leading to the creation of 790 new jobs.
Among the top 5 areas of activity for the program winners are wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles (34%), temporary accommodation and food organization (13%), manufacturing (12%), provision of other types of services (11%), and health care and social assistance (7%).
Among grant recipients, the majority are women. The leaders by the number of winners are Kyiv region (14%), Kharkiv region (12%), Lviv region (11%), Ivano-Frankivsk region (6%), and Dnipropetrovsk region (5%).
It is also worth noting that the majority of program participants have higher education (68%). Another 16% have obtained secondary specialized education in colleges or technical schools.
In the youth direction of the program, 19 young Ukrainians between the ages of 18 and 25 will receive grants of up to 150 thousand hryvnias. These funds will help them realize their own business ideas and launch their own enterprises. Since September 2024, financial support has already been received by 379 young Ukrainians who are actively developing their businesses, contributing to the economy of the country.
