Memory of the Hero
Every day at 9 a.m., Ukrainians honor the memory of those who died during the Russo-Ukrainian war. Today we will remember Pavlo Semeniuk.
Pavlo Semeniuk was born on June 1, 1992, in the city of Kostopil. He was a graduate of Kostopil School No. 5, after which in 2009 he entered the Faculty of Law at the Lviv National University named after Ivan Franko.
After finishing his studies, Pavlo worked in the prosecutors office of Vyshhorod in Kyiv Oblast, and then at the Kyiv-Svyatoshyn Prosecutor's Office in Kyiv region.
From 2016 to 2022, Pavlo worked in the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine. However, on March 4, 2022, he decided to become a volunteer in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he served as a military lawyer in Rivne region.
«On March 19, 2024, Pavlo voluntarily went to serve in a separate combat unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he performed combat missions», – said Pavlo Semeniuk's father, Anatoliy.
While carrying out a combat mission, Captain Pavlo Semeniuk was killed on May 1, 2025, near the village of Tsvitkove in Zaporizhzhia region due to being hit by guided aviation bombs. He was buried on May 4, 2025, in the cemetery in Kostopil next to his family.
