The Survived Flag Among the Ruins. Rescuers Showed a Life-Affirming Photo from Sumy.


Rescuers clearing the rubble in Sumy after a rocket attack showed a photo of the blue and yellow flag that survived in one of the destroyed buildings. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
A shelf with the Ukrainian flag was left hanging on the wall.
"In Sumy, the Russian attack claimed the lives of innocent people… but amid the ruins, an unharmed flag of Ukraine remains. This is a sign. This is a symbol. We stand firm. And we will endure. We are invincible. We will win!", - wrote the rescuers.
Today, on the day when believers celebrate Palm Sunday, the Russian army attacked the center of Sumy. Two powerful explosions were heard, after which a pillar of smoke rose above the city.
Public transport and buildings were also damaged.
The President has already reacted to this attack.
As of 3:35 PM, it is known that 32 people have died in Sumy, among them - two children. 99 people are injured, including 11 children.
Russia struck with rockets containing cluster munitions.
New details of the Russian strike on Sumy have also been revealed. According to the head of intelligence, the attack was carried out by Russian units from the Voronezh and Kursk regions.
The mayor of Konotop also made a statement about the strike on Sumy.
Analysis:

However, in this horrific context, the unharmed Ukrainian flag found among the ruins became a symbol of resilience and strength of the Ukrainian people.
