On Wednesday, April 16, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine once again supported the extension of general mobilization and martial law. This decision was supported by the majority of deputies, specifically 357 deputies voted for the continuation of martial law, and 346 for general mobilization.
The extension of mobilization and martial law is accepted until August 6. The only deputy who voted against was Oleksiy Honcharenko. He stated that he does not support the extension because there is no demobilization in the country and clearly defined service periods.
'We must have a clear service period. The term is over – you are a free person. You can leave or stay. At your own discretion. Only then will people feel free, they will return on their own, and the buxification will end once and for all. We have many people, but everyone is afraid of being enslaved. Because our military is currently in slavery. The least protection from the state is precisely with them. And it should not be like this. Everyone understands this. That is why buxification and madness with the TCC arose. No one wants to be enslaved. And only an adequate system with service periods can fix this. Demobilization is needed for this,' he noted.
Earlier, it was reported that part of the Ukrainians will lose their deferral from mobilization.
