In Ukraine, a 'purge' of passports is being prepared: which data will disappear from documents.

Ukraine is preparing for changes in the issuance of booklet passports
According to draft resolution number 13369, Ukrainian booklet passports, which were previously issued only by court decision, may become standard. After Ukraine switched to ID cards in 2016, the production of booklet passports was stopped. According to the authors of the bill, the last blanks for these documents were made in 2014, and the equipment for their production has been destroyed.
The novelty is the requirement to include all entries in the booklet passport exclusively in the Ukrainian language
The existing legislation allowed information in documents to be duplicated in regional languages, including Russian. But with the adoption of changes, the booklet passports issued based on court decisions will be composed only in the Ukrainian language. This requirement will not apply to previously issued documents. Such changes in legislation will contribute to the consolidation of the Ukrainian language in documentation and support its use and development in Ukraine.
Resolution number 13369 envisions a change in the practice of issuing booklet passports in Ukraine, particularly in the use of the Ukrainian language as mandatory for all entries in these documents, which will promote the establishment of the country's language legislation.Read also
