'Ukrenergo' will hold auctions for the distribution of cross-border capacity for electricity import-export.

The National Energy Company 'Ukrenergo' plans to conduct several monthly auctions for the distribution of cross-border capacity for the import-export of electricity, said acting head of the company Alexey Brecht.
'We are proceeding from the understanding that this year we should hold long-term auctions at least on several directions. For example, to Romania, Slovakia. For now, these will be monthly auctions. Unfortunately, our partners do not agree on annual ones yet, because they understand that each rocket strike could undermine this idea,'- said Brecht.
According to him, such auctions will allow for proper distribution of electricity, reduce electricity costs, and ensure stability and predictability in the market.
The JAO platform operator will begin to activate activities in this direction starting in July, to organize long-term auctions, Brecht added.
The plans of the National Energy Company 'Ukrenergo' to conduct monthly and long-term auctions for cross-border electricity capacity are aimed at optimizing the market and ensuring stability in electricity distribution in Ukraine.
The announcement about the auctions conducted by Ukrenergo for cross-border electricity capacity indicates the company's intentions to optimize the market and ensure stability in the electricity supply sector in Ukraine through proper resource allocation. The existence of such auctions may also contribute to reducing the cost of electricity supply services and ensure predictability in the country's energy sector.Read also
