Ukrainians to be deprived of state payments: who and what assistance will be canceled from March 1.

As of March 1, some Ukrainians may have their state assistance payments stopped. This was reported by the public organization 'IDPs of Ukraine'.
The 'Shelter' program will continue to operate until 2025, but the conditions have become stricter. If you provide free housing for internally displaced persons (IDPs), the state will compensate you 450 hryvnias per month for each such resident. However, starting in March, some recipients may lose these payments.
According to the new rules, payments will not be provided if:
- the property owner has debts for utilities
- IDPs receive subsidies for housing rent
- the displaced persons are close relatives of the property owner.
It should also be noted that payment may be stopped if the following violations are detected:
- IDPs have not lived at the specified address for more than a month - these data are verified by the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU).
- The internally displaced person has been abroad for more than 30 days.
- The compensation was issued based on false information.
- IDPs purchased or received housing for free within three months before submitting a compensation application.
Please note that starting in spring 2025, the payment system will change. Compensations will be assigned for six months, rather than indefinitely as before. To continue receiving payments after this period, it will be necessary to prove that you meet all the program's criteria.
Therefore, it is important for property owners to closely monitor compliance with the new requirements, otherwise they risk losing compensation or facing suspension of payments.
It was previously reported that less than 3 thousand hryvnias for pensions is enough for Ukrainians to live.
