Ukrainians face fines and imprisonment for burning grass and leaves.

Ukrainians reminded of the consequences and fines for a popular violation
The Ministry of Nature reminded Ukrainians about the consequences and fines for burning dry grass and leaves, which is a common violation. This information was reported by 'Khvylia'.
In spring, fires often occur in Ukraine due to the burning of dry grass and fallen leaves. This not only harms nature but can also negatively affect people's health. It is important to remember that such actions are illegal and can be punished with monetary fines or even criminal sanctions. Every citizen should care for the environment and the well-being of others.
The Ministry of Nature also warns about the serious consequences of burning vegetation. In addition to polluting the atmosphere, these actions significantly deteriorate the quality of soil needed for plant growth. Full recovery of the soil can take up to 6 years. Additionally, burning grass increases the risk of soil freezing.
Particularly troubling is the fact that various representatives of the fauna - animals, reptiles, amphibians, and young hares and hedgehogs, who do not manage to escape from the fire, die during such fires.
The Ministry of Nature emphasizes that harmful substances such as heavy metals, dioxins, and carcinogens enter the human body during the burning of vegetation. This can lead to serious diseases. Ukraine has strict legislative measures against burning dry vegetation. Significant monetary fines are provided for violating such a law. The fines increase when burning occurs in nature reserves. In particularly severe cases, when fires lead to loss of life, offenders may receive real prison sentences.
The Ministry calls for not burning dry grass and urges citizens not to remain indifferent if they are aware of a case of arson. It is recommended to document violations with photos or videos and report this to security services and the police.
Earlier, information was published regarding fines for camouflage by civilians.
