Ukrainian athletes began competing at the World Youth Weightlifting Championship in Lima (Peru). The Ukrainian team has already won medals in various weight categories.

Kateryna Malashchuk took second place in the 45 kg weight category. She earned silver in the snatch, finished fifth in the clean and jerk, and overall secured a bronze medal in the total.

The gold in this category was taken by Alexandra Ann Diaz from the Philippines, while the silver went to Arianne Ekandia from Venezuela.

Russian bodybuilders did not make it to the European Championship due to the refusal of the Spanish embassy to issue visas to participate in the competitions, despite the invitation from the International Federation of Bodybuilding and support from Russian officials.

The European Bodybuilding Championship will take place in Santa Susanna in early May.

Ukrainian fencers became the winners of the World Juniors Fencing Championship. Anna Maximenkо, Emily Konrad, Alina Dmytryk, and Valeria Bilous-Hryzhak defeated the Chinese team in the final.

In the final match, Ukraine proved stronger in the third third of the game. Victory was secured by Valeria Bilous-Hryzhak, and Alina Dmytryk and Anna Maximenkо also performed successfully.

Thanks to this victory, Ukraine is in the top 5 for medals at this championship. Our country has surpassed the USA, Italy, Egypt, and Canada.
