Ukraine increases maximum electricity export capacity to the EU.

The government of Ukraine has decided to increase the capacity for exporting electricity to Europe from 650 to 900 MW. Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko explained that this step will help balance the country's energy system without the need for production restrictions. He also believes that these changes will positively affect the quality of electricity supply.

Since July 1, Ukraine has switched to a new standard voltage of 230/400 V, which will enhance the quality of electricity supply and allow power plants to gain additional profits from foreign trade. These changes will also aid in preparing for the autumn-winter period and addressing the consequences of Russian attacks.

Steps towards harmonization with European standards, such as increasing export capacity and switching to a new voltage, indicate rapid changes in the Ukrainian energy sector and an improvement in the quality of life for the residents of the country.

The government's initiative will contribute not only to the development of the energy sector but also to the improvement of the country's economic situation and the provision of stable electricity supply to citizens.
