Ukraine sets a historic record of cooperation with the IMF.


The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, announced that the country successfully completed the eighth review under the program with the International Monetary Fund. Ukraine received 500 million dollars as the ninth tranche under the joint program.
During the full-scale war with Russia, Ukraine received over 135 billion dollars in budget support from various partners. Canada provided Ukraine with 1.7 billion dollars, which was secured from the revenues of frozen Russian assets. 'Our joint ERA program has already yielded results, and the frozen Russian assets are being used to support the defense capabilities and resilience of Ukraine,' emphasized Shmyhal.
Ukraine successfully completed the eighth review of the IMF program and received the ninth tranche of 500 million dollars. It also received significant budget support from its partners, including Canada. Evidence of successful cooperation was the secured income from the frozen Russian assets, which are being used to support the defense capabilities and resilience of the country.
