The Irish low-cost airline Ryanair has updated its rules regarding the transportation of carry-on baggage. According to the new regulations, passengers are allowed to bring larger bags or backpacks on board the aircraft than before.
The European Commission has adopted a document stipulating that passengers are permitted to have one large bag measuring up to 100 cm and weighing 7 kg without an additional fee, as well as one smaller suitcase measuring 40x30x15 cm. The new dimensions for Ryanair's permitted carry-on baggage will be 40x30x20 cm, which will accommodate a volume of up to 24 liters.
It is still unclear when these changes will come into effect. However, passengers should keep these new regulations in mind and stay tuned for updates. Additional information regarding carry-on baggage with Ryanair may be helpful before traveling.
