Romania Has Set the Date for Repeat Presidential Elections.

The ruling coalition of Romania has established the dates for the repeat presidential elections following the Constitutional Court's decision to annul the results of the previous vote.
According to information from the publication Digi 24, the first round of elections will take place on March 23, and the second on April 6, 2025.
The pro-European coalition, consisting of the Social Democratic Party led by Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, the National Liberal Party, and the ethnic Hungarian UDMR party, has already declared support for a single candidate - Crin Antonescu.
The presidential race will also include the representative of the Union for the Salvation of Romania, Elena Lasconi, and independent candidates: Kelin Georgescu, Nicusor Dan, and Daniel Funeriu.
The decision to hold repeat elections was made after the cancellation of the first round of voting, which took place at the end of November, by the Constitutional Court of Romania.
