In Russia, detonation continues at one of the largest ammunition depots.

An explosion occurred in Russia at one of the largest ammunition depots, located near the village of Barsovo in the Vladimir region.
Explosions took place at the 51st arsenal of the Main Rocket and Artillery Directorate (GRAU) of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, military unit 11785. As of 22:00 Moscow Time, the detonation of ammunition continues.
A forest fire has also started in the area of the 51st arsenal. Geographically, it is approximately at the intersection of roads between the settlements of Barsovo, Kirzhach, and Pershino.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, there are no casualties from the explosions, and the cause of the fire was attributed to violations of safety requirements during work with explosives.
It is worth noting that the distance from the furthest point of the border between Ukraine and Russia to the arsenal is over 500 km. Meanwhile, the distance from the depot to Moscow is 64 km.
The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko, noted that a detonation occurred at the 51st arsenal of GRAU in Russia, which stores approximately 105 thousand tons of weapons.
"There are significant stocks of artillery shells of various types of rockets stored there, including 'Iskander', 'Tochka-U', 'Kinzhal', as well as ammunition for the Pantsir-S1, S-300, S-400 systems, as well as 'Grad', 'Smerch', 'Uragan'," the statement said.
This is not the first explosion in this area. It was quite loud here back in June 2022.
As a result of the fire, the detonation of ammunition began, which led to the destruction of several hundred anti-tank complexes, as well as shells for them. Sources report at least three dead Russian soldiers. According to propagandistic media, later the number of victims of the explosion at the ammunition depot in the military unit of the village of Barsovo increased to five people.
