At the crossing point 'Shegyni - Medyka' (on the border with Poland), temporary restrictions have been introduced, reports the State Border Guard Service. If you plan to travel through this point, you should know the following:- On the Polish side - at the 'Medyka' crossing, repair works are underway, so entry to Poland is allowed only through two lanes until 20:00, which reduces the number of vehicles passing per hour.- On the Ukrainian side - at the 'Shehyni' crossing, reconstruction is also taking place, which affects the overall capacity due to the dismantling of the old road surface and the installation of engineering networks.Border guards recommend considering alternative routes through less busy crossing points, such as 'Rava-Ruska', 'Smilnytsia', and 'Nyzhankovychi'.'When planning trips, you should keep this information in mind. From July 7 to September 3, 2025, repair works and reconstruction of the bridge over the Tysa River will take place,' emphasize border guards.According to future plans, by 2030, Ukraine plans to modernize 29 border crossing points and build 17 new ones. Improvements to the 'eQueue' system, which is already in operation at 28 crossing points, are also planned. The news discusses temporary restrictions at four crossing points on the border - two with Poland and two with Romania. Repair works and reconstruction affect the passage of vehicles and capacity, so travelers are advised to consider alternative routes. Plans have also been announced for Ukraine by 2030 regarding the expansion and modernization of border crossing points.
