The official election results in Poland have been announced
The National Electoral Commission of Poland has announced the count of 100% of the ballots from the first round of the presidential elections. The leader is the mayor of Warsaw, Rafal Trzaskowski, who received 31.36% of the votes. The second place was taken by conservative historian Karol Nawrocki with 29.54% support. These two candidates will proceed to the second round of elections, which will take place on June 1.
The third place in the electoral race was occupied by the representative of the 'Confederation,' Sławomir Mentzen, with 14.81% support. 67.31% of citizens participated in this stage, which is a higher figure compared to the previous elections in 2020, when the turnout was 64.51%.
Such election results in Poland indicate an intensifying struggle between various political forces in the country and significant citizen interest in events and political life. One should expect tension and active actions from the participants in the electoral campaigns in the second round of voting.
