The National Guard Extends Duration of General Military Training.

The National Guard will have general military training lasting for 2 months, covering all areas. This was reported by the Commander of the National Guard, Oleksandr Pivnenko.
According to Pivnenko, the basic general military training in the National Guard nearly completely coincides with the basic training of the Armed Forces and will last for 2 months. The program includes patriotic education, UAVs, electronic warfare, and cyber defense.
Additionally, starting next year, a training program for officers to work with unmanned systems is planned to be established.
A pilot project to extend the training periods is already being implemented in four training centers of the Armed Forces and involves about 500 servicemen.
Ukraine plans to mobilize another 200,000 recruits by the end of 2024, but these plans may face difficulties due to a decrease in the number of conscription-age men and resistance to mobilization among the population.
According to the Secretary of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence, Roman Kostenko, the mobilization age in Ukraine should be 20 years old.
