Traffic rules during alerts will change in Kyiv: drivers warned.

Changes to public transport rules during alerts are planned in Kyiv. This was reported by KMVA spokesman Yevhen Ievlev.
According to the initiative, drivers will be able to decide for themselves whether to stop or continue moving. The city defense council is expected to consider this proposal in the near future.
According to Ievlev, city officials, together with the military, law enforcement, and representatives of the State Emergency Service, will establish an action algorithm during alerts, taking into account the resumption of public transport in Kyiv.
'There is a position that this is absolutely the wrong decision. There is also an algorithm, developments, suggestions from the city’s defense forces. A decision will be made at the Defense Council. The key is that the carrier will make the decision to reach the nearest stop or not. The driver will decide whether to stop the vehicle and head to a shelter or continue moving,' Ievlev said.
Speaking about this initiative, the KMVA spokesman noted that such changes are being introduced to avoid a collapse on bridges and in the metro.
It was previously reported that Kyiv has already responded to the question regarding stopping transport during a moment of silence.
