Advisers on national security met to discuss Russia's missile strikes on Ukraine and the peace process. This was reported by Natalie Drouin, the Prime Minister of Canada's adviser on national security, after an online conversation with colleagues from other G7 countries and Andriy Yermak, according to Ukrinform.

I convened a meeting of G7 national security advisers and Ukraine to discuss the recent missile strikes on Ukraine and the need for a fair, comprehensive, and sustainable end to Russia's aggressive war - said Drouin.

According to her, all participants in the meeting expressed deep sympathy for Ukraine in connection with the Sunday missile strike by Russia on Sumy and 'decisively condemned Russia's actions that only prolong the war'.

We emphasized the critical importance of maintaining strong and coordinated pressure on Russia, particularly through sanctions, economic and energy measures, as well as continuous military support for Ukraine - noted the advisor on national security to the Prime Minister of Canada.

Natalie Drouin also emphasized Canada's support for Ukraine and the need to hold Russia accountable for its aggression.
