Horrific car accident in France: Ukrainians among the victims
A horrific car accident occurred in western France, resulting in injuries to Ukrainians. A bus carrying sixty Ukrainian citizens was transporting adults and teenagers when the incident happened.
According to the publication Le Parisien, the accident took place on the A81 highway between Rennes and Le Mans on Friday, June 13. Four people died, 11 were seriously injured, and 34 sustained minor injuries. Traffic on the highway was completely blocked in both directions.
“This morning, a very serious traffic accident involving a bus carrying adults and teenagers occurred on the A81. The initial number of casualties is very high, several people have died,” said Transport Minister Philippe Tabaro.
Currently, 87 firefighters and 49 fire trucks are working at the scene to clean up the aftermath of the accident. Rescue and evacuation efforts are ongoing.
The event that took place in France shocked not only due to the scale of the car accident but also because Ukrainians were among the injured. Rescue operations are continuing at the site, and information regarding other details is still being clarified.Read also
