Europe is running out of critical components for ammunition production – Bloomberg.

Europe is facing a shortage of explosives due to the provision of ammunition to Ukraine from European stockpiles. European countries are encountering a problem with the deficit of gunpowder and other explosive components necessary for the production of artillery shells. Governments of European countries are trying to increase ammunition production, but they have a limited number of manufacturers.
European countries plan to produce two million artillery shells by 2025, for which they have launched an initiative to support ammunition production (ASAP). Problems with rocket fuel are also deepening, but the European Union plans to increase its production.
To establish supply chains for explosives, it is necessary to encourage the civilian industry to transition to military production, simplify regulatory procedures, and ensure the supply of key components. European projects for financing ammunition for Ukraine have been blocked by Italy and France, which require more details regarding technical and financial aspects.
