Supermarkets noticeably changed prices for sunflower oil and eggs: how much they cost in February.


Prices for sunflower oil and chicken eggs in supermarkets
According to the Minfin portal, Ukrainian consumers closely monitor prices for essential food products, especially sunflower oil and chicken eggs.
In times of economic instability, Ukrainian consumers pay special attention to prices for basic food products. Particular focus is traditionally placed on such important components of the food basket as sunflower oil and chicken eggs.
Prices for sunflower oil
According to the results of price monitoring in the largest retail chains in Ukraine, prices for sunflower oil show interesting dynamics in February 2025. Sunflower oil of the 'Oleina' brand (850 ml) increased in average from 68.17 UAH in January to 73.10 UAH in February. The average price for 'Shchedry Dar' oil of the same packaging also increased from 74.26 UAH to 75.96 UAH.
Prices for chicken eggs
As for chicken eggs, they show the opposite trend - a slight decrease in prices. A dozen of 'Kvochka' category C1 eggs decreased in price from 68.59 UAH in January to 60.60 UAH in February. 'Yasensvit' eggs in a pack of 10 pieces also decreased in price, from 72.60 UAH to 66.76 UAH (by 5.84 UAH). The same situation is observed in larger packages: the price for 18 eggs dropped from 124.14 UAH to 120.27 UAH, and the pack of 30 pieces decreased from 203.98 UAH to 200.55 UAH.
