Deadly Danger - What Threats Unverified Beaches Pose.

Relaxing on the beaches in frontline areas, particularly in Mykolaiv region, remains very dangerous. There may be mines of various types, but demining the coastline is currently impossible.
Minefield in Mykolaiv
There may be any explosive objects on the coast of Mykolaiv, including mines. If you notice anything suspicious, follow the sapper rules and move as far away as possible, at least 1 kilometer.
“It is important to note that it is impossible to hide in the water. If an explosion occurs underwater and you are there, the injuries will be much more serious than in the air because water is incompressible. If you notice a mine, you must immediately leave this area. This is a combat zone, and the danger from a mine is constant,” says the representative of the Naval Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Pletenchuk.
Additionally, Dmytro Pletenchuk added that demining water bodies is currently impossible due to the risk to sappers and the large number of mines of various types that may have entered after the explosion of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Station.
We remind you that recently we wrote about the situation with shelling in Mykolaiv and also about attacks on ports in this region.
A trip to the beach in Mykolaiv remains very dangerous due to the possibility of mine presence on the coastline. Sappers are currently unable to de-mine the waters due to the high risk. People are advised to follow instructions and avoid dangerous areas for their own safety.Read also
