US President-elect Donald Trump stated during his speech in Washington that he will order to strengthen America's missile defense and create his own 'Iron Dome' over the country as soon as he takes office.

'I will instruct our military to begin construction of a large 'Iron Dome', a missile shield that will be completely made in the United States', - Trump stated.

He also promised to urgently revitalize the American military and make it what it once was.

It is worth noting that the 'Iron Dome' missile defense system is used in Israel to intercept and destroy short-range rockets launched from neighboring states. However, to intercept medium and long-range ballistic missiles, Israel uses other systems, including the American-made THAAD system.
