Ukraine successfully repelled the enemy's offensive in the Sumy direction
Ukraine's Chief Commander of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi reported on the successful defense against the enemy's offensive actions in the Sumy direction. He also emphasized the importance of technological equipment for Ukrainian units.
According to Syrskyi, Russian troops attempted to drive Ukrainian units out of the territory of the Kursk region and seize the border areas of the Sumy region, but thanks to the active actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the offensive was halted.
Oleksandr Syrskyi visited the units holding the defense in the Sumy direction to assess the situation and provide assistance to commanders in organizing combat operations.
'Not long before Easter, during his work, I met and listened to commanders, key officials of brigade staffs, branch chiefs, and made all necessary decisions regarding the provision of combat operations and the replenishment of MTZ and ammunition supplies on site,'- Syrskyi wrote.
The Chief Commander discussed the prospects for the development of combat capabilities of the Ukrainian troops, in particular, the implementation of modern technologies and the increase in the availability of drone systems in brigades of all types.
'Only by outpacing the enemy in the use of high-tech weapons, increasing the quantity and quality of robotic platforms and remotely controlled modules, and employing artificial intelligence in armaments will allow us to effectively neutralize the numerically superior enemy's forces.'- Syrskyi noted.
Syrskyi also expressed gratitude to Ukrainian soldiers for their courage and professionalism, as well as to all those contributing to the technological development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
