The Defense Forces are repelling attempts by the Russians to land on Bugaz Island and cross the Dnieper.

Russian occupation forces have intensified their activity in the southern part of the Dnieper island system, attempting to cross the Dnieper River in the Kherson region. This was reported by the spokesman of the southern defense forces, Vladislav Voloshin.

'The enemy is trying to conduct river crossing operations and has currently opened a so-called 'new' direction. This is the area where they have intensified and have already made several attempts to land in the river zone over the past few days – this is the southern part of the Dnieper island system. At the very south, near the village of Kizomys, is Bugaz Island. The enemy is trying to land on this island, capture a certain foothold and cross the Dnieper River from the south,' – Vladislav Voloshin stated.

The spokesman also reported that the Ukrainian military is successfully repelling the invaders' attempts. The occupiers are using boats to cross the water obstacles, but they are being destroyed by the Ukrainian military.

'Well, if someone manages to survive on these islands, they play something like an improvised 'Robinson Crusoe' there, as the enemy can no longer take them away, delivering food, water, and ammunition to them by drones, and in a few days there are cases where these Russian servicemen – the so-called Robinsons – surrender or are destroyed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine,' – Voloshin noted.

Voloshin also noted that Russian propaganda uses such cases to create the illusion of control over certain territories. However, he assured that the Ukrainian military is holding this direction and is trying to repel all attempts by the occupiers.
