The 'Shahed' Swarms Are Now a Reality: Russia Has Significantly Increased the Production and Frequency of Drone Strikes, - WSJ.


According to the latest data from The Wall Street Journal, Russia is actively using strike drones in its war against Ukraine. This poses a threat not only to the civilian population but also represents a serious challenge for Ukrainian defense forces.
“The increase in drone launches is an attempt to overload the Ukrainian air defense system. This raises the risk of hitting the target,” said researcher Kyle Glenn.
The agreement between Russia and Iran regarding Shahed strike drones has proven to be quite significant, as it has allowed Russian troops to expand their capabilities for attacks and control of these drones. Russian forces are continuously improving their tactics, using both simulated and real strike drones, and technically upgrading them to counter Ukrainian defenders, creating difficult challenges for Ukraine.
