The Director of the Ukrainian Center for Evaluation, Tetiana Vakulenko, urges applicants to have basic knowledge before entering university

Tetiana Vakulenko calls on applicants to postpone their entry to higher education institutions if they cannot complete tasks at the 5th-7th grade level. Vakulenko emphasized the importance of having basic knowledge before entering university.

'If an applicant is unable to complete tasks from grades 5, 6, or 7, then it might be necessary to wait a bit with higher education and catch up on school programs in order to feel comfortable in higher education institutions.'

The director also noted that for creative specialties, the coefficient for the results of mathematics testing is minimal, but it is important to have basic math knowledge. In 2025, the minimum threshold score for mathematics for admission is only 5 points out of 32 possible.

Mandatory Subjects in the National Multidisciplinary Testing

This year, the National Multidisciplinary Testing includes mandatory subjects: Ukrainian language, mathematics, history of Ukraine, and one subject of choice.

Vakulenko pointed out that having insufficient basic knowledge, applicants may face difficulties in higher education institutions, so it is better to postpone admission and prepare properly. This is aimed at ensuring comfortable learning and a successful career for future students.
