Pension Growth: The Cabinet of Ministers Approved a 11.5% Increase
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has made a decision to index pensions and social payments in the country. According to the new regulation, all pensioners who receive a pension until the end of 2024 will receive an increase of 11.5%. This applies to military pensioners, Chornobyl victims, pensioners with special merits, former civil servants, and scientists.
Those who retired in the last four years will receive an indexation according to the following coefficients: 1.0575 for 2021, 1.046 for 2022, 1.0345 for 2023, and 1.023 for 2024. The maximum pension increase will be 1500 hryvnias, and if the recalculation provides an addition of less than 100 hryvnias, a supplement will be established to this amount.
Starting from April 1, 2025, recalculations will be made for 629 thousand working pensioners without additional applications. In addition, supplements have been established for pensioners with low payments depending on age and experience.
As of today, the average pension in Ukraine is 5,789 hryvnias.
