Hellish heat in the EU. The air conditioning system in the European Parliament is broken.

In the European Parliament building in Brussels, there have been issues with air conditioning, causing discomfort for the staff. One employee joked that on a certain floor they do not believe in climate change. It is planned that the building will be renovated for 440 million euros starting in 2027, but until then, employees have to endure extremely high temperatures due to the air conditioning malfunctions.
An ECR representative joked that lately they want them to sweat for their political views. But is that apparently funny?
This is not the first case where insufficient air conditioning leads to problems. Previously, the electrical networks in Europe even could not withstand abnormally high temperatures, causing reduced production at some power plants and rising electricity prices in the EU.
The European Parliament promised to resolve the air conditioning issues by 2027, but for now, employees and deputies remain in a stuffy and hot atmosphere in the building.
