Countries that could become nuclear in the coming decades.

Countries that may develop nuclear weapons
According to Mykhailo Gonchar, president of the Globalist Strategy Center 'Strategy XXI', there are a number of countries in the world capable of creating nuclear weapons in a short Time - in the coming years or decade. Technologically advanced countries, such as South Korea, Turkey, Japan, or those with financial resources, such as Saudi Arabia or the UAE, can easily gain access to nuclear technologies.
“There is no other way left under the conditions of the dysfunction of international treaties. Conditions in which the system of international law collapses allow some states to develop their own nuclear programs inappropriately, seeing the defense of territory and sovereignty as priority tasks,” Gonchar explained.
According to the expert, several dozen countries are ready to covertly develop nuclear programs as international agreements lose their effectiveness. Discussing defense in conditions of instability, Mykhailo Gonchar pointed to the falsity of some international agreements, which may lead to independent decision-making regarding the security of some countries.
Updating Russia's nuclear doctrine
Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the modernization of the country's nuclear doctrine. This includes expanding the categories of states and military alliances to which nuclear deterrence applies. Putin emphasized that in the event of aggression against the RF and Belarus as a participant in the Union State, Russia reserves the right to use nuclear weapons.
“The update of the nuclear doctrine implies the possibility of using nuclear weapons in case of critical threats generated by the use of conventional weapons by the opponent,” Putin emphasized.
Such statements led to responses from the German defense ministry and NATO. According to German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, changes in Russia's nuclear doctrine will not affect Germany's foreign policy and that of the alliance, and Berlin will continue the course it considers optimal.
