In Vinnytsia, a fight ended with an explosion: two men were injured.


On the night of April 17, an incident occurred in one of the settlements of Vinnytsia region that led to an explosion. A conflict between a group of people escalated into a fight, during which an unknown object exploded. Two men, aged 48 and 50, sustained injuries. This was reported by 'Hromadske' referencing the regional police.
The incident took place on April 17 in one of the settlements of Pyshchanska hromada, when a conflict arose between a group of citizens. During the fight, an explosion occurred, as a result of which two men, aged 48 and 50, were injured. One of the victims was taken to the hospital, while the other was allowed outpatient treatment.
'At the scene, law enforcement officers seized material evidence, which was sent for examination. The type and origin of the exploded object are being determined,' the law enforcement officers reported.
Currently, the police are conducting a pre-trial investigation. The perpetrators face up to seven years in prison.
As a reminder, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) completed a special operation and detained agents of the Russian Federation who were planning terrorist acts in the city of Vinnytsia. The counterintelligence of the SBU prevented an attempt by the Russians to carry out a series of explosions in Vinnytsia. As a result of the special operation, three agents of the Russian military intelligence (GRU) were detained, who were preparing to blow up a vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a police building. According to the investigation, initially, the perpetrators planned to blow up a Ukrainian soldier using a homemade explosive device (HED), but their plan failed.
