Russian troops attacked the city of Dnipro with drones

On the evening of April 16, Russian troops carried out a massive attack on the city of Dnipro using drones. This attack led to several fires, as well as casualties and injuries. The city's mayor, Boris Filatov, expressed his anger regarding this attack.

Filatov stated that the Russians would likely start claiming that 'they killed a bunch of Nazis.' He also emphasized that the occupiers caused damage to numerous civilian buildings, and one of the rockets hit less than 100 meters from the city council.

The mayor of Dnipro reported that a rocket landed near the monument to Alexander Pol, but the monument itself was not damaged. He also recounted that one of the Russian shells caused the destruction of a women's clothing store owned by his wife. Filatov stressed that there were no NATO soldiers in the store and expressed hatred for the Russian occupiers.

The head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration, Oleg Synegubov, also expressed his outrage and noted that the Russians would likely try to justify their actions by claiming they 'hit NATO officers.' Synegubov highlighted that the attack caused damage to homes, educational and cultural institutions, as well as many vehicles. He mentioned that the residents, especially children, were frightened.

As a result of the Russian attack, one person was killed. A young girl became a victim due to the strike on the city of Dnipro. Seven people were injured, including an infant.

It is worth noting that even the propagandists were surprised by the shelling of Sumy, which resulted in many civilian casualties. They are trying to find an explanation for such baseless actions of the occupiers, including a theory about a joint operation with someone from President Zelensky's entourage.

Let us recall that on April 13, 2025, the Russians launched a rocket attack on the city of Sumy. This attack occurred in the morning when local residents were celebrating Palm Sunday. As a result of this shelling, at least 36 people were killed, including two children, and 119 people were injured, including 15 children.

It is also worth mentioning the Russian rocket strike on Kryvyi Rih that took place on April 4, 2025. This attack also led to the deaths of 20 people, including nine children, and injured 72 people. The shells hit a densely populated residential area, including a children's playground.
