The Armed Forces of Ukraine have developed a list of dialogue and behavior rules for servicemen, which aims to improve communication with the civilian population during mobilization activities. The recommendations provide for interaction with citizens in a peaceful manner and prohibit any form of discrimination or use of force against civilians. This will help the military maintain a positive attitude of society towards the army.
The main recommendations include:
- not to use force and weapons against civilians;
- to avoid discrimination and humiliation of citizens;
- not to detain citizens without grounds, act within the law;
- before starting a conversation, introduce oneself as an employee and explain the purpose of the contact;
- to avoid jargon, listen to citizens, do not interrupt;
- to explain to citizens the necessity of military accounting documents;
- to show understanding and calm when interacting with civilians;
- to properly record all important events.
The head of the communications department of the Ground Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vitaliy Sarantsev, explained that these tips will help avoid conflicts, respond to provocations, and leave a positive impression in society.
