The Ministry of Defense expanded the number of brigades in the 'Contract 18-24' project
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has decided to expand the number of brigades that volunteers can join under the 'Contract 18-24' project. According to the new changes, in addition to the already existing six brigades, another 10 have been added.
'3rd Separate Assault Brigade, 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade, 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade, 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade, 36th Separate Naval Infantry Brigade, 39th Separate Coastal Defense Brigade of the 30th Marine Corps, 25th Separate Airborne Brigade, 80th Separate Assault Brigade, 59th Separate Assault Brigade.'
As before, volunteers can also join the existing 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, 95th Separate Assault Brigade, 38th Separate Naval Infantry Brigade, 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade, 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade, and 92nd Separate Assault Brigade.
Now volunteers have the opportunity to choose a brigade from the Ground Forces, Navy, Airborne Assault Forces, and Unmanned Systems Forces.
The 'Contract 18-24' project offers volunteers financial stability, as the signed contract guarantees a payment of 1,000,000 UAH, of which 200,000 UAH is received immediately upon signing the contract, and the remaining 800,000 UAH later in two installments.
Moreover, volunteers will receive a monthly monetary provision of up to 120,000 UAH per month, as well as bonuses for combat tasks. In total, this can amount to up to 2,000,000 UAH per year. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to receive a 'zero' mortgage, education at the state's expense, free medical care (including dental prosthetics), and the right to travel abroad after one year of military service. The law also provides a guarantee of exemption from mobilization for 12 months after the end of the contract.
