What does bill No. 596 include?
One of the key innovations is the creation of the 'associate intern' status for medical professionals who have trained outside the EU, including Ukraine. This will allow doctors to work in their field without excessive bureaucracy, opening the way for qualified specialists who left their home country.
Individuals with temporary protection status will also be able to access social protection, receiving assistance for people with disabilities, personalized assistance for individuals over 60, and other types of social benefits, as well as housing assistance.
In support of Ukrainian refugees, the French government allocated 328 million euros for 2025, which will be spent on housing, rental search, social support, and integration programs. In addition, temporary protection status will allow obtaining certain benefits that will simplify their life in France.
