Ecological disaster. Birds spotted in oil in Odesa region (photo).

In the 'Tuzlivski Lymany' national park, birds covered in oil have been discovered. This occurred due to a spill of petroleum products as a result of tanker accidents in the Kerch Strait. This was reported by biologist Ivan Rusev, who is a research fellow at the park.
The scientist stated that birds partially covered in oil were found in 'Tuzlivski Lymany'. One such bird is the grebe, which has the ability to flap its wings quickly and cover large distances. Therefore, Ivan Rusev suspects that this bird flew to the Odesa region from the site of the accident.
We also observed a great cormorant, which was in the same condition as the grebe, but we could not retrieve it from the water.
Let us remind you that on December 15, an accident occurred involving two Russian tankers - 'Volgoneft-212' and 'Volgoneft-239' - in the Kerch Strait region due to a storm. As a result, 8.6 thousand tons of oil leaked into the sea. Ecologists and military personnel claim that this month the spill may reach the shores of Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.
Deterioration of the situation in the Black Sea
Oil entered the Black Sea due to an accident involving Russian tankers in the Kerch Strait. In the coming weeks, and in some cases even days, the oil may reach the shores of Odesa. This was reported by ecologist Vladislav Balinsky.
It has also become known that experts will not be able to clean the environment from contamination until it reaches the land.
