Every day at 9 am, Ukrainians honor the memory of all those whose lives were taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today, we will remember Vadym Balanovsky.

Defending Ukraine, designer, activist, and serviceman of the 414th separate brigade of strike unmanned aerial systems 'Madjar's Birds' Vadym Balanovsky, call sign Bird, was killed. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing a statement from the 'Democratic Axe'.

You have definitely seen the works of Vadym Balanovsky in your feed. In every image or graphic he touched, there was a unique and instantly recognizable style. His works captured attention and made you examine every detail. Many of you knew Vadym from the 'DemSokyra' actions, Seimas, and other activist meetings we held before the full-scale invasion. Always active, brave, principled, and caring, in 2022, like many other axe-holders, he joined the military and stood up to defend the country,' the organization reported.

Vadym Balanovsky worked on the reverse side of the circulating commemorative coin with a denomination of 10 UAH, introduced by the National Bank in October 2022: the reverse features two stylized figures of servicemen, as well as the logo and slogan of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: 'Ready to resist'.

Since 2022, Vadym served in the ranks of the 414th separate brigade of strike unmanned aerial systems 'Madjar's Birds'.

In the memory of relatives and friends, he will remain active, brave, principled, and caring.

Vadym was a member of our large family, which is shrinking with each passing year of war. War has taken him and will not return him. We all have several tasks, the main one - vengeance. For him and for all the others,' wrote co-founder of 'DemSokyra' Yuriy Hudimenko.

Stubborn, but damn smart. Can be too sharp, but fiery. Creative, talented, and creative. Vadym, there are so many more epithets to write... This charisma must be seen... These bastards took your life. But they will never take away what you did throughout it,' his friend Vladislav Grebelynik wrote.

The farewell to the warrior took place on April 8 at 2:00 pm at the Kyiv crematorium located on Baikova Street, 16.

He is survived by his wife and daughter.

'Glavkom' joins in a minute of silence. We honor the memory of all Ukrainians who died fighting for their homeland. We remember those killed by the hands of Russian invaders, light candles of memory, and bow our heads in sorrow during the nationwide minute of silence, honoring the bright memory of citizens of Ukraine who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state: all military personnel, civilians, and children, all who perished in the fight against Russian occupiers and as a result of the attacks of hostile troops on Ukrainian cities and villages.
