Argentine of Ukrainian descent becomes the main pilot of the Formula-1 team.

New pilot of 'Alpine'
On Wednesday, May 7, the Formula-1 team 'Alpine' appointed Argentine Franco Colapinto as the main pilot, who will replace Jack Doohan in the next Grand Prix.
The 21-year-old Colapinto made his Formula-1 debut last season, successfully completing the second part of the championship with 'Williams'.
Ukrainian roots
It is noteworthy that the young driver is the son of Andrea Trofymchuk, who has Ukrainian heritage - her ancestors moved to Argentina in 1938 from Volyn. The driver's father is Italian, so Colapinto holds citizenship in Italy and Argentina. This information was reported by the association of Ukrainians in Rosario (a large Argentine city), and the driver himself confirmed this information on social media.
It is worth noting that Colapinto has not publicly spoken about Ukraine lately, but in one of his posts on social media, he mentioned his Ukrainian heritage.
Schumacher supports charity
Seven-Time Formula-1 champion Michael Schumacher supported a charitable initiative by signing a helmet for sale at auction. The helmet belonged to three-time race winner Jackie Stewart and features Schumacher's initials 'MS', as well as the signatures of all other living world champions. This item will be presented at the 'Race Against Dementia' auction.
In January, Michael Schumacher turned 56, and although he retired in 2012, his support for charitable events remains active.
