June 30: What holiday is today, signs, and prohibitions.

On this day, June 30, three important holidays are celebrated: World Social Media Day, International Asteroid Day, and International Day of Parliamentarism. The church calendar also marks the Feast of the Twelve Apostles.
Social Media Day
The first social networking site, classmates.com, was created in 1995. Later, in 1997, SixDegrees.com appeared. Today there are over 200 social networking sites used by more than 3 billion people worldwide, spending about two hours a day on social media.
In 2010, it was announced that a holiday would be established, celebrated through activity on social media, posting updates, and meeting with virtual friends in real life.
International Asteroid Day
Since 2017, June 30 has been celebrated as International Asteroid Day, initiated by the UN to raise awareness about the danger of asteroid impacts on Earth. Statistics show that space objects the size of a football field strike the planet at least once every 2,000 years. Each year, one meteorite the size of a car enters the Earth's atmosphere, usually burning up before reaching the surface.
International Day of Parliamentarism
On this day, we celebrate International Day of Parliamentarism, designated by the UN to raise citizens' awareness of the work of legislative bodies and their impact on society. Strong parliaments are an essential component of democracy and serve to pass laws that ensure citizens' welfare. They also assist vulnerable groups in society and work in the post-conflict period to restore economic and political processes.
June 30 is a special day when various holidays are celebrated, each with its significance and importance in the modern world. This date is filled with events and symbolism that remind people of key aspects of life: from interaction on social media to awareness of cosmic dangers and the role of parliaments in society.
